Dear GLA members,
Together with Foley's List, we are pleased to invite you to our July CPD by Mark Gioskos on How to Challenge Tax Decisions.
Mark Gioskos practises in taxation law, commercial law, public and administrative law, and equity and trusts. Mark comes to the Bar with a decade of experience practising as a solicitor, most recently as a special counsel at Thomson Greer. During that time, he advised in a variety of taxation and commercial disputes, representing government agencies, listed and multinational groups, small and medium-sized enterprises, high net worth families, and not-for-profit organisations. He is experienced in every stage of engagement with revenue authorities, from review and audit through to tribunal and court proceedings.
The session is titled How to Challenge Tax Decisions - and will provide a walk-through of key tax litigation stages including assessment, objection, appeal and debt recover powers.
The seminar will also be delivered as a hybrid event, via Teams and in person at WorkSafe Head Office, 1 Malop Street Geelong.
The cost for this CPD session for members attending in person will be $20.00 which includes lunch.
Please purchase your ticket via Tidy HQ for the event which also provides an RSVP so that numbers can be calculated for catering purposes, and Teams links can be provided to registered hybrid attendees closer to the date.
