
The Geelong Law Association (GLA) is an incorporated association for legal practitioners, law students and others associated with the law who live and/or work in the Geelong region.
Geelong Law Association Associate Member
To become a GLA Associate Member you must fall into one of the following membership you must:
(a) be undertaking a course of study, training or work experience to qualify that person for admission as an Australian Lawyer and living or working within the Geelong region; OR
(b) be an Australian Lawyer (not in the Geelong region); OR
(c) be a member of the Victorian Bar; OR
(d) has other qualifications, experience or connection to the legal profession that the GLA Committee determined appropriate.
Young lawyers
Members under the age of 35 or who have been in practise for less than five years may choose to have their name added to the Young Lawyers' database, if you wish to be added to the young lawyers data base please advise us in the additional info.
The GLA supports more than 270 members through social and networking events as well as the provision of professional development seminars.
The GLA has a particularly close relationship with the Deakin University Law School and hosts regular events for young lawyers and law students as well as providing scholarships and prizes for Deakin students.
